A ticket is much more than a QR code

Less than a month ago, a major consumer goods company reached out to us after signing an agreement with several sports properties. In past experiences, their main challenge had been how to manage one of the most important assets in their contract: the tickets/experiences offered as part of the deal.

The lack of traceability, identification, and a clear distribution strategy had led, on previous occasions, to more than 40% of those tickets ending up in unknown hands, with no direct or indirect connection to the company.

The result? Missed networking opportunities, discomfort with the event owner, and a justified (or not) sense of internal loss of control.

Historically, tickets/experiences were not considered essential in a sponsorship agreement. They were often seen as a complement, while visibility and branding were the real priorities for both sponsor and property. But things have shifted: in a time where everyone talks about experience and human connections, these tickets—offering unique moments and access to exclusive areas—have become a tool of high strategic value. Poor management, however, can have a negative impact on the brand’s reputation.

Proper control and traceability allow you to:

  • Maximize return on investment in the event
  • Comply with internal policies and compliance requirements
  • Measure the real impact of each invitation delivered

At GUESTIN, we focus on this control and its data because we believe that’s where the real added value lies for our clients: turning each invitation into a unique experience and a measurable, traceable opportunity with real impact.

A ticket is much more than a QR code: it’s an opportunity to open doors to relationships, agreements, and projects… provided it reaches the right people, always with a strategy behind it.
